2011 ELKIN CITY SCHOOLS AYP REPORT
Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) measures the yearly progress of different groups of students at the school, district, and state levels against yearly targets in reading/language arts and mathematics. Title I schools and districts are especially affected if they do not make AYP. About half the schools inNorth Carolinareceive Title I funding as do all 115 of the state’s school districts. AYP results must be publicly reported. Elkin City Schools is pleased to share the results for the 2010-2011 school year.
These results are preliminary pending State Board approval on August 4, 2011.
